Cities are where we live, visit, and savor life. Each city is a collective experience—the sum of all the people who live, love, thrive, and struggle there. The streets and buildings hold so much history; history that is being written every day as people come and go, leaving their fingerprints and footprints on the urban fabric.
Chalo is a small company with big dreams. Based in beautiful Seattle, Washington, Chalo launched its first collection in 2015. Since then, we’ve expanded to several cities, with brick-and-mortar stores in Seattle, San Francisco, and—by August 2025—Houston too. If we aren’t yet in your city, we look forward to expanding to an area near you soon!
Chalo aims to celebrate cities and to empower and enliven the people who visit and live in them. Our products—which range from bags and pouches to T-shirts, socks, and homeware, as well as specialty coffee—are designed to evoke a sense of wonder and curiosity.
While we believe it’s essential not to take ourselves too seriously, we are committed to giving back and uplifting the cities we represent, the people we work with, and the customers who shop with us. We are always thinking of new ways to collaborate with local artisans and other small businesses, and how to uplift our employees, making our products not only more beautiful but also more sustainable.
We adore our customers, who tend to be folks who love the city they live in and who delight in the discovery of new places. They are locals and travelers who know how to smell the roses, taking the time to relish in the sights, sounds, and aromas all around them. At Chalo, we aim to provide a place of play and discovery for our customers through our winsome and whimsical products and the stories they tell.
